Most stairlift companies are started by engineers or sales teams. We are different.
Stairlifts Scotland was founded in 1996 by Mrs. Morna M. Barry, a lifelong therapist with a clinical background. She saw that the industry was focused on shifting boxes, not helping people. When her former employer refused to repair or relocate older stairlifts for clients who couldn't afford new ones, she decided to build a company that did things differently.
Today, that ethos of "Care First" remains our guiding principle. We don't just look at your staircase; we look at the person using it.
Today, Stairlifts Scotland is led by Lisa Melinda Barry, and her brother J. Marc Barry.

No "Hard Sell" Promise
We operate a strictly non-pressured sales philosophy. Our surveyors are technical experts, not commission-hungry salespeople. If a stairlift isn't safe for you, we will tell you.
Totally Independent
We are not tied to a single manufacturer. We have access to the whole market (Access, Handicare, Stannah, Otolift and more), meaning we recommend the machine that fits your home, not the one we are told to sell.
300+ Years of Experience
Between our management and engineering team, we hold over 3 centuries of combined experience in the mobility industry. There is no staircase we haven’t seen, and no problem we haven’t solved.
No Call Centres
When you call us, you speak to our team in Glasgow. No automated menus, no offshore call centres. Just local people who know the area and the equipment.
