Safety You Can Rely On
Your safety is paramount. The HomeGlide is packed with advanced safety features, including a retractable seatbelt that can be fastened with just one hand. The carriage and footrest are equipped with pressure-sensitive edges that will instantly and gently stop the lift if they detect an obstacle on the stairs. Plus, because it is battery-powered, the stairlift will continue to operate safely even during a power cut.
The HomeGlide Extra Package
If you are looking for the ultimate in convenience, the HomeGlide Extra package does exactly what it says: it gives you extra. It features a Powered Swivel Seat, which automatically turns the chair at the top of the stairs so you can step off safely onto the landing. It also includes a Linked Footrest, meaning that when you fold the seat up, the footrest automatically folds up with it—completely eliminating the need to bend down.
Powered Hinge Option for Tight Hallways
If you have a doorway or a narrow hallway at the very bottom of your stairs, a standard stairlift track might cause a tripping hazard. The HomeGlide solves this with an optional automatic powered hinge. Once you step off the lift, the lower section of the rail folds neatly out of the way, leaving your hallway completely clear.
